: One of the things I remember from reading Henry Miller was a great discription of the joys of the cycling. I suppose it was when he was a messanger. What I would like to know is what book this was in?
: I have recently gone back to the bicycle and was trying to articulate the joy I feel when on the bike and was not able to do it justice. It was then that I remembered being very moved many years ago by what Miller wrote on the subject.
: Please help me find it agian.
: Many thanks.

Henry wrote quite a bit about his bike, but you may be thinking about Volume II of his BOOK OF FRIENDS: MY BIKE AND OTHER FRIENDS (the "My Best Friend" section). He also writes about his bike in the ROSY CRUCIFIXION trilogy, particularly in PLEXUS, I believe. The scene involves a dream in which Henry meets a six-day bike racer. I'll try to find the exact chapter and give you a post.
