Not that you could call this winter. Good Lord, it’s 73 degrees out here. I broke a sweat while walking up the Nepenthe steps. Whoa boy! I stink!
Winter or not, this show will be super-cool. You see, Kath Bloom and Levi Strom are embarking on a West Coast Tour, which would naturally be incomplete without a stop at the Henry Miller Library. Not only will this be an intimate evening of music inside the Henry Miller Library (which is, in and of itself, a special place to hear music), the performance will be recorded in association with the new analog recording capabilities of the Henry Miller Library.
Oh, and Kath Bloom is totally amazing. In 1976 that she started recording, creating multiple albums of fragile, simple folk and blues melodies, the majority of which were written by Bloom herself.
Here’s the errr…Facebook thing for the show. And check out this rad write up (called…brace yourself…”Riders on the STROM”) on Levi here. Peace!
